Movie theaters make for less painful meetings
We had gotten very tired of the same formats at my last job. The project director kept telling us he was going to mix things up for the next big meeting, but he would’t give us any further information or details.
Truthfully: we hadn’t really expected much to come of it. It promised to be nothing more then another boring hour or two spent watching someone’s power point in the meeting hall of some hotel. When the day of the big meeting finally did come around, we were all caught by surprise. He told us the orthodox conference venues that had been available where to dry for what he had in mind. Instead he had rented out a movie theater.
It was still the same boring power point, but after we were all treated to a free show, so that made up for the rest of it.
